Lunch at Next Level Burger Brooklyn, NYC

I'll do a separate post about how I ended up in Fort Greene, Brooklyn and found Next Level Burger, a vegan burger place, to have lunch. This was in Whole Foods. It was in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. See images below of the Whole Foods it is in and how it looks inside the Whole Foods. There are so many people outside because today was the New York City Marathon. The Marathon route was right outside on Lafayette Ave. The best part was that I had a view of the marathon runners from the stool I was sitting on inside of the Whole Foods, so I could keep seeing the marathon as well. I didn't realize Next Level Burger has locations in other states too. I'm glad I tried this place.

I ordered the artisan burger, which was "house-made organic quinoa and mushroom patty, organic avocado, choice of cheese and roasted garlic thyme mayo". I choose American cheese. I also ordered chilichz fries, which was "fries smothered in house-made chili and melted cheddar cheese.. topped with sour cream and organic green onions". I got a side of blue cheese sauce. See images below. This was a delicious lunch. It was a Sunday afternoon treat. I made a good choice and started with the fries first because it was still steaming. I thought to get chili fries to get more protein from the beans. I mixed everything up. Each ingredient itself, such as the fries, chili, cheddar cheese and sour cream were excellently made too. I think someone would not be able to tell the cheddar cheese and sour cream were vegan. It hit the spot the way loaded fries would. The sour cream, chili, cheese, and green onions mixed in with the fries was heaven. I had loaded fries after a long time and really enjoyed it. The burger was delicious too and it had a lot in it. It didn't just have a little piece of cheese and lettuce. There was enough cheese and lettuce in it. The cheese was fully melted. There was enough avocado and tomato in it too. The patty itself was so delicious and filling too. The patty was soft and well cooked. I'm glad I got a side of blue cheese sauce, because it was the perfect extra sauce to go with the burger. The sesame bread was so fresh and soft too. Bagels and breads with sesame seeds are my favorite. Everything was fresh tasting and well made. The lunchplace itself was very clean and the staff were very nice too.

After having this meal, I decided to get a seasonal frozen hot cocoa shake, which had "house-made organic coconut or soy soft serve ice cream hand-spun with organic and fair-trade cocoa, topped with whipped cream, peppermint and marshmallows". I did half soy and half coconut ice cream. The peppermint and marshmallows made it seasonal. It was delicious. Even though it did have all the ingredients that were in the description, I think it could have had some more marshmallows and peppermint. I only tasted the peppermint once or twice. It was still delicious!! I could tell the ingredients were good. I also liked that it wasn't overly sweet. I'm glad I got the one with cocoa. See image below. I went outside and enjoyed the milkshake, while cheering on the marathon runners.
